ALEKSANDER Sedgwick-Wilde has become the first pupil in the 31-year history of Wellington School’s Royal Navy section to become a Combined Cadet Force national champion.
Aleksander took part in the CCF Royal Navy regatta in Portsmouth harbour along with fellow pupils Samuel McDermott and Damion Fieldhouse.
He came out on top over six races in the Pico class against opposition from 29 schools.
Wellington School’s navy section sails each week at Wimbleball reservoir.
