MILVERTON Parish Council’s bid to stop the building of more than 100 homes at Creedwell Orchard suffered a setback last week with a decision by Taunton Deane Council.

Council clerk Gwilym Wren said: “Unfortunately the council has refused to revoke the certificate of lawfulness relating to the development and so the threat of development in this part of the village remains.”

The parish council is now taking legal advice.
