IT’S all aboard the Samaritans Steam Special next month for the charity’s national awareness day.

The event will be held at Bishops Lydeard railway station, on July 24 where Taunton Samaritans will be taking to the rails thanks to the West Somerset Railway.

Supporters and sponsors are being invited to join the return trip from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead for £20 per person.

Guests will be entertained by a tabletop magician, a tea talk and tasting from D J Miles and Co of Minehead, strawberries and cream and a prize draw.

All proceeds will go towards supporting the Taunton branch which offers a confidential, non judgemental listening service to anyone needing emotional support, especially if they are contemplating suicide.
