MILVERTON Primary School has been celebrating the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth with an action-packed science based activity week.
All the pupils visited the @Bristol science museum to enjoy a wide range of activities, including workshops on habitats, fossil finding and a session in the planetarium.
Other activities included thinking walks, plant and seed hunts, finding out about the places Darwin visited, dressing up as explorers and a visit from a geologist with a fossilised megalosaurus footprint.
Head teacher Richard Stead said: “Our activity weeks are full of creative, stimulating, hands-on activities which broaden the children’s learning experiences and help every child reach their full potential.”
