AROUND 40 full and part time jobs are returning to the town with the re-opening of Taunton’s Dellers Wharf nightclub.

The club closed in August after a drop in custom, but will open its doors for the first time under new owner Johnny Davis on December 5.

They are now looking to recruit staff for the venue, including a new door team.

Johnny said: “We’ve been working really hard to get the club open before Christmas and it’s great to finally have a date.

“The refurbishment of the club will continue over the next 12 months where we will re-brand the club and make it a top night out for people across the South-West.”

Johnny has over 21 years’ experience in the business, including setting up three Oceana chain clubs and running a nightclub on the south coast for 13 years.

Party goers are expected to flood to the club’s opening night after an outpour of disappointment on the County Gazette’s website when the news of the closure broke.

“We are hoping for a big night and hope lots of people from across the area will come down to support Dellars,” Johnny added. “We want to give Taunton’s night life a boost and give everyone a great night out.”

Dellers will also be holding their new under 18’s night, Kulture U18, on December 18, which will be a snow party.
