A NUMBER of Somerset schools have already announced they will not open or there will be restrictions tomorrow due to the weather.

They include: Avishayes Primary School, Chard, due to icy conditions on all approach roads and pavements, although it will open for staff from 9am.

Buckler's Mead Scool, Yeovil, will re-open from 10am for Year 10 and Year 11 pupils only.

Chilton Trinity Technology College, Bridgwater, will open for Key Stage 4 students only.

Churchstanton Primary School will remain closed.

Cutcombe First School will open from 10am.

East Bridgwater Community School will open for Years 10 and 11 only from 9.45am to 2.30pm, although no school transport will be running.

Haygrove School, Bridgwater, is opening for students in Year 10 and Year 11 only.

Huish Episcopi Primary School, Langport, will be closed.

Ladymead Community School, Taunton, opens at 9.45am for Year 11 and 10 history pupils only, who will not be required to wear school uniform.

Norton Fitzwarren Primary and pre-schools are opening from 9.30am.

Stanchester Community School, Stoke sub Hamdon, is open for Year 10 and 11 students only, from 10am-1pm, but no buses are running.

St Mary and St Peter's CE VC Primary School, Barrington and Ilton, will be closed.

Westfield School, in Yeovil, will open from 11am.
