YOUNG musicians from Taunton went head to head in a bid to win the title of Taunton Young Musician Of The Year.
The final seven musicians performed at Taunton’s Queen’s Hall on Sunday in front of an audience of family, friends, judges and music lovers.
First prize went to Laura Hammonds who has just won a full scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music. Second place went to saxophonist Daisy Newberry and the third spot went to tenor Oliver Kelham.
The Mayor of Taunton, Cllr Bob Bowrah distributed the prizes.
