Musgrove wheelchairs to get colourful facelift

WHEELCHAIRS at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton are set to get a colourful facelift.

Design students at Somerset College have been asked to create eye-catching designs that can be painted or sprayed on the chairs to make it clear they belong to the hospital.

Three initial designs have been chosen by the ‘Art for Life’ team at Musgrove and the winning artists will each apply their work to a wheelchair.

Patient and staff response to the designs will be monitored and the most popular design will be applied to new wheelchairs as they are bought by the hospital.

Musgrove spokesman Mark Wall said: “Using the creative talents of nearby Somerset College students is such a great way to raise the profile of this innovative campaign and we have been impressed by the standard of work submitted.”
