A TEAM of eight Academy students from Somerset County Cricket Club were put through their paces at Taunton Fire Station.

They undertook various fire services tasks in a bid to boost their confidence, self-belief and communication.

Among the ‘pressure’ activities were an exercise in the fire house, going up in a hydraulic platform, descending the drill tower and watching a road safety DVD.
