A TEACHER and governor from Archbishop Cranmer Primary School in Taunton had a make-over and new look – all the in name of religious education.

Governor Jenny Wakefield and key stage one teacher Emily Burgin volunteered for Combers salon and Alpha clothes, both of Taunton, to give them a new look.

At Combers, the haircut was done by director Simon Willetts and hair consultant Sally Richards, while at Alpha, the clothes were provided by Andrew and Giri Chapman.

Special lighting and smoke machines – courtesy of APR audio - made for a grand entrance as the pair were reintroduced to pupils.

The children were given an assembly on the theme of the inner make over Christians believe God wants everyone to benefit from in their lives.

Children at the school have been designing hairstyles and clothes with the two firms.
