RECEPTION class pupils at St Johns Primary School in Tiverton have had great fun building a rocket and telescope for their space project.
Children made the models in class, using cardboard and egg boxes - and the telescope even has wheels. All the pupils helped to build the models and put forward their own ideas.
There are now plans to make a lunar module, and a talk on space and telescopes when the deputy head teacher Paul Brown brings his telescope into school. Teacher Jo Panton said: "The children really loved it. There was paint everywhere."
