THE Great Cornish Maize Maze, now in its third year, is bigger and better than ever.

It provides an attraction suitable for all ages while blending intrigue, adventure, discovery and the great outdoors into an exciting experience.

This year, a brand new larger and more complex design was revealed when the maze opened in mid-July. It has been designed, created and grown at Smeaton Farm, Pillaton - a truly Cornish Maize Maze!

But don't forget, this maize crop won't last forever. Once the maze closes next month, the crop will be harvested and the design will be gone forever. Make sure of your visit. Next year there will be different themes and designs, so book a return visit then.

A well-known Cornish character has visited the Great Cornish Maize Maze this year - all will be revealed when you visit Smeaton Farm - and it's even more of a challenge than last year.

Over the last two years, 50,000 Cornish people and visitors to the area have enjoyed the Great Cornish Maize Maze - many spent several hours trying to get out. But don't worry, they won't leave you there overnight!

In addition to the maze, there's loads to do in the courtyard again - just get your brain in puzzle mode before you visit Smeaton Farm. There's a shop and cafeteria on site for lunches, drinks, ice-creams and cream teas.

The Great Cornish Maize Maze is 200 metres west of the A388 Saltash to Callington road, one mile north of Hatt and one mile south of St Mellion - and only ten minutes' drive from the Tamar Bridge.

The maze is open daily from 10am to 6pm. Admission charges are: 5-12 year olds - £3; senior citizens - £3; 12 years and over - £4; students - £3 and adults £4. A family ticket - two adults and two children - costs £12.50.

Return tickets are available at the time of a first visit, and are half price. There are also reduced rates for groups of ten or more.
