A QUACKING good duck race at a primary school near Wellington has raised more than £200 for school funds.
The Stawley Primary School fete was hailed a wonderful success by head teacher Lindsay Gabriel who was pleased to see so many children holding their own stalls.
She told the County Gazette: "There were all sorts of fun activities like face painting and the stocks which I had to go in which made it a great day."
The duck race was, of course, the highlight of the day and a £25 voucher went to the winner.
All proceeds will be split between the school's funds for ICT equipment and the Stawley under-fives.
