COURT Fields Community School in Wellington is celebrating a successful season for its year eight squad.
The team finished as under-13 league runners-up, beaten in only one game by The Castle School in Taunton, and under-13 cup winners - beating The Castle School 2-1, with Charlie Armitage as 'man of the match'.
PE teacher Peter Greenfield said: "After losing the final last year, the boys really deserved their success this year. The whole team played well, but special mention goes to the goalkeeper, Charlie Armitage, who kept us in the game with a world-class save in the first half."
