County Councillors will come together this Thursday (30 September) at a special Cabinet Meeting to consider EDF’s proposals for a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point.
The meeting, which will take place at 2pm at the Bridgwater and Albion RFC, will give Councillors a final chance to debate the proposals and to finalise Somerset County Council’s response to EDF’s Stage 2 consultation.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the special Cabinet Meeting. Anyone wishing to speak must submit their question or statement in writing by noon, the day before the meeting. For further information, contact Scott Wooldridge on 01823 356748 or email swooldridge@somerset.gov.uk.
Since July, technical officers have been reviewing 10,000 pages of EDF documentation and have created a series of detailed reports to help Councillors come to a decision on a final response to the consultation.
