AN iconic sixties artist has been inspiring students at a West Somerset school.
Dulverton Middle School’s Year 8 students have been creating large-scale Pop Art paintings, based on the work of Roy Lichtenstein.
The budding-artists took part in a series of workshops run by their art teacher Elizabeth Johnstone before creating their own work in Lichtenstein’s comic-strip style.
Mrs Johnstone said: “At Dulverton Middle School we are very proud of the artistic talent of our pupils, the art work looks fantastic around the school and I look forward to running many more exciting workshops.”
Their work is being displayed around the school on easels bought by the Dulverton Middle School Association.
