A GRIEVING Taunton woman has paid a loving tribute to her parents who died in the accident on their way home from visiting her and her family.

Tony and Pamela Adams were returning to Newport after spending a few days visiting Tonia White, of Crowcombe Road.

Mrs White laid flowers on the bridge overlooking the scene of Friday’s tragedy with her husband, Phil and three of their children, Terri, 23, Tazmin, 15, and Xander, 11.

Their other son, Anthony, is away at university in Hastings.

Mrs White said: “My father was my rock and my pillar to me, absolutely a foundation.

“My mother was my best friends and partner in crime.

“They were wonderful, caring, loving parents to seven children and their partners.

“The care then goes into the grandchildren and then the great grandchildren.”

Mrs White thanked the people of Taunton for their support during the difficult time.

“On behalf of the family, I’d like to thank all the people of Taunton and surrounding areas – their support is appreciated.”

It is not the first time Mrs White’s family has been hit by tragedy – her sister, Adele, died in a motorbike accident a number of years ago.

THE Taunton family of a couple from Newport who died in the M5 crash have asked to be allowed to grieve in peace.

Tonia White, whose parents Tony and Pam Adams died in the tragedy, and her husband, Phil, said: "The family of Tony and Pam Adams are devasted and heartbroken at their untimely and tragic loss.

"Our thoughts are not only with our parents but also with all the other persons involved in this incident.

"The family would like to be left alone to deal with their grief in peace.

"A family statement will be released in due course."

TRIBUTES have been paid to the people who died in the M5 crash near Taunton.

No names have officially been confirmed by police at this stage but it is understood Malcolm Beacham, of Lower Road, Woolavington, was among them.

He was an event co-ordinator for re-enactment group The Company of Chivalry.

Writing on the Living History website, Martin posted: "For those that had the privilege of knowing him Malcolm was a fantastic guy, a true stalwart of the reenactment community from The Company Of Chivalry, he was involved in the accident on the M5 on Friday , you will be sorely missed m8 Martin, Suzie and Daisy xx."

Aginoth added: "There's a large Malcolm shaped hole in the lives of all of us who knew him.

"It was Malcolm that recruited me and my family into The Company of Chivalry in 2006, when we were on a day trip to Caerphilly Castle and "between groups".

"Always there when you needed him, always ready to offer advice or an encouraging word, unstinting is his efforts in whatever he did.

"We are going to miss him so much that there aren't words of sufficient magnitude to express it fully.

"Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family, and all our friends who also knew him; we are so much less without him."

Simon Atford wrote: "I still remember Malcolm's first Company of Chivalry event at Old Sarum. To those of us in the group he was family pure and simple. Hard to picture re-enactment life without him."

At the silence observed in Bridgwater today in memory of those who lost their lives, a floral tribute was laid.

It reads: "RIP Uncle Malcolm. Words can not describe how the family and I feel right now.

"You will be sadly missed by your family and friends - you will remain in our hearts forever."
