Taunton Rugby Club management committee has issued the following statement this morning: "Taunton Rugby Club would like to take this opportunity to extend our thoughts and prayers to the families and friends of those who have been affected by the tragic incident on the M5 motorway on Friday November 4.
"As a family based community club, Taunton RFC held a fireworks display on the evening of November 4, with the 15-minute display finishing at 8.15pm.
"There was no bonfire at this event.
"Taunton RFC is working closely with Avon and Somerset Police to assist with their investigations.
"Whilst these investigations are continuing, Taunton RFC are unable to make any further comments at this time and would request that any further enquiries are directed to the Avon and Somerset Police press officer.
