TAUNTON M5 CRASH: Vigil tonight for rescue workers and people with invites

PEOPLE are reminded that the vigil planned for tonight next to the scene of the M5 crash has been scaled back for safety reasons.

A spokesman for Taunton Street Pastors, who are orgainising the vigil in Sainsbury’s car park next to the motorway in Taunton, said: “Acting on the advice of the authorities, attendance will now be restricted only to those workers who were directly involved in the emergency last Friday and those who have had a personal invitation.

"Members of the public can listen live online via 10Radio or BBC Local Radio.”

My prayers go with all attending this evening.
It is a pity that the local Churches could not hold similar vigils at the same time for the rest of us.

Our prayerful thoughts will be with you all as you gather for tonight's vigil near the M5 crash. A candle will be lit and silence kept in our home at 6:00.

If its a private vigil, why put a story in the local paper? It is obvious that the organisers are now anticipating hundreds of uninvited people attending. Would've made sense not to run a story on it at all. But I suppose the gazette are just in it to sell papers, in the same way the recent fire in bridgwater included "M5" in the headline and the motorcyclist killed on the M5 story has made a comeback from months ago.
