A SCHOOL in West Somerset is to donate money raised from its nativity service to a Zambian counterpart.
Timberscombe School made £108 from the play and presented this to the Benefice of Dunster with the aim of providing classroom desks for the children at its link school in Petauke.
A Zambia Link fundraising event will take place on February 24 at 7.30pm in Timberscombe Village Hall.
It will include presentations by Dr Mike and Dr Anne Currie who have recently returned from working at St Francis Hospital in Petauke and Marcus Capel, head teacher of Timberscombe and Cutcombe Schools, about his visits to their Zambian link schools in Petauke and Mzenje.
The event is free, but donations are welcome and will go towards providing additional classroom furniture.
