COMMUNITY projects in the parish of Old Cleeve have benefited from a £1,000 grant.
The money, from West Somerset Council's planning obligation funding, is being spent on security improvements at the village's community hall, cricket equipment for the youngsters of the Roadwater Cricket Club and two solid wood benches at Washford Recreation Ground and Monks Path.
Old Cleeve parish councillor Cliance Godwin said: “It was good to be able to spread the funding between the wards for the benefit of residents of all ages in all the communities.
WSC lead member for community, Cllr Dave Westcott, said: “Old Cleeve Parish Council was attentive to the needs of people and projects throughout their parish, and it has been really rewarding to help them make these improvements for their communities.”
