BUDDING beekeepers in Taunton are invited to join a course to find more about taking up the craft.
Members of Taunton and District Beekeepers will teach people about caring for honeybees, including swarming, harvesting, health during a six-week course, which starts on Wednesday, February 29.
Course organiser Amanda Smales-Cresswell said: “Beekeeping is one of those hobbies that can take from just half an hour or so a week to look after a single hive to becoming a grand obsession!”
The first sessions will be held at Air Cadets Hall in Longrun Lane, followed by hands-on experience in the teaching apiary at Heatherton Park.
For more information about the course, email Amanda at tauntonbeginners@somersetbeekeepers.org.uk.
