PUPILS at Wellington Junior School had a taste of Anglo-Saxon history during a visit to Escot Park.
The children experienced what life would have been like in a recreated Anglo-Saxon village, taking the opportunity to try pole lathing, creating spear heads and using bellows to keep the furnace hot.
They also checked out a Saxon house and tried on a Saxon delicacy – squirrel.
