TAUNTON Deane Cricket Club hope their ground will be fit to play their first match of the season at the weekend.
Less than three weeks ago, the ground was under three feet of water after torrential rain caused the Sherford stream to burst its banks and spill across the outfield and pitch.
The club’s artificial pitches are still to be repaired.
