Fire service called to puppy trapped in sofa - Watchet

FIREFIGHTERS attended a house in Watchet on Friday evening (June 22) to help free a puppy from a sofa.

The animal became trapped in the mechanism of the sofa, in a property in Ramon Avenue, shortly after 7.15pm.

The puppy was released uninjured.

Totally agree with you. Ok it was traumatic for the puppy, would have been better to call the vet, or take the sofa to bits.

And there was another with kittens under the floor boards!
Total waste of the fire services' time and resources!

The amount of call-outs such as "Pidgeon trapped in netting" or "Seagull stuck in wire mesh" is getting beyond a joke recently - these segulls are nothing but flying rats and are a bloody nuisance - I suggest shooting them to put them out of their misery rather than tuning fire crews and aerial ladders out to free them. What a waste of taxpayers money.
