Police search for man after robbery near Vivary Park

A HUNT is underway for a man who robbed a woman between Vivary Road and Vivary Park at around 10am on Monday (July 16).

The woman was pushed from behind by a man and then he demanded money and was given a small amount by the victim who also had her shopping bag taken from her.

The victim then ran off in the direction of the park.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged 20-25-years-old and around 5'10" tall. He was wearing a black zip-up jacket, dark blue jeans, black gloves and a dark-coloured baseball cap worn back to front.

An investigation is underway and a 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
