YOUNGSTERS at Dulverton Middle School have been stretching their minds and bodies as the end of term approaches.

Pupils of all ages took part in a quadrathlon, in which they competed in four sports to raise money for a pancreatic cancer charity.

They chose two disciplines from running, rowing, cycling and swimming to see if they could complete a set distance, while being sponsored to do so.

Unfortunately, the cycling had to be changed to dancing because of the wet weather, but so far more than £100 has been made.

Meanwhile, year eight students have produced cartoon artwork as part of their coursework.

They were given the subject of space, after the school’s involvement with BBC2’s Stargazing programme which aired earlier in the year.

As a parting gift, they have made a wall hanging of their colourful artwork, now on display in the school’s foyer.
