THE founder of the Wiveliscombe Area Partnership (WAP) charity has stepped down as chairman after ten years of service.

John Harris will remain chief executive and will run from the Community Office with Pauline Homeshaw taking over his role.

To most, WAP is known for Wivey Link and is the hub in the centre of the town for meetings and information.

Pauline said: “I hope that by being in a rather more 'up front' role as chairman I can better promote the work which we and all our volunteers do for the area.

“I am also delighted to announce that the biennial celebration of the arts, the 10 Parishes Festival, is now part of the partnership which also includes the successful community Street Market and Carnival which happens every September.”

Drop into the office Monday to Saturday mornings or call 01984-624777 for more.
