Coastguards Ian Wedlake, Jan Henstock, Andy Steel and Richard Nicholas with a paramedic loading the casualty onto a stretcher.
COASTGUARDS had to work quickly as the tide rapidly rose to rescue a casualty from the beach at Warren Farm in Watchet.
The team was called to help West Country Ambulance Service evacuate a female who was unable to walk after sustaining a deep cut to her knee.
As she was some distance from a suitable exit route, paramedics and coastguards called Minehead RNLI to transport the casualty back to Watchet Harbour.
Coastguard rescue officer Doug Jeffries said: “We would like to remind anyone who ventures onto the shoreline to check what the tides are doing and always tell someone where you are going and what time you are due back.
“If you do get into difficulty dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.”
