CONQUEST Riding Centre in Norton Fitzwarren has bought a portakabin for needy children to study on site.

The centre, which provides therapeutic riding to people with physical or learning difficulties, purchased the specially-adapted cabin to create a classroom environment for the children.

A grant of £1,000 was put towards to cabin from the Co-operative Community Fund.

Pictured is Richard Tomlinson, (right), of the Co-operative Group committee, presenting a cheque to manager Jess Dixon, watched by Kate Smith, eight-year-old Natasha Dines on Dylan and Charlotte Ellicott.

Last time I contact the conquest centre they only able to offer riding lesson to school groups and a very small group on a Saturday.
Hopefully the centre has now changed to offer disabled children an 'out of school activity' which is desperately lacking on this area.
