IT was second time lucky for the 23rd Rock on the Green music festival at the weekend.

The annual event, originally rained off in July, featured a number of local bands and plenty of family fun on Saturday (September 8).

The festival has raised around £90,000 over the years for local causes.

Maybe I am showing my age (42) but does this pile of rubbish have to be so loud?

I live down the middle of east reach, and yet I ended up with a thumping headache from the noise pollution.

In the end I had to shut all the windows on a nice sunny day just to drown out most of the sound.

I hate to think what it was like closer to the event. Music does not need to be this loud for people at the venue to hear it.

Maybe the organisers will have more thought about Taunton resident's who do not want to hear this drivel.

P.S I am a rock fan, but when I want to listen to it.
