A SINGER/SONGWRITER from Langport hopes to fulfil a lifelong dream in a regional open mic competition.

Rebekah-Jane Skinner, 24, has written and recorded five of her own songs and said she has always had a passion to sing.

The competition is being held in Bristol on September 30.
