Fancy dress winners Rolling Stones
FORTY teams from businesses enjoyed the second boules tournament hosted by South-West developer and property company Summerfield.
They raised money for the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment appeal to kit out the Beacon cancer centre at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Ben Trickey, of Summerfield, told Business Gazette: “The weather was glorious and the participants enjoyed five rounds of boules before Brewin Dolphin edged out Summerfield for victory in the cup, which avoided the embarrassment of the hosts winning!”
The Plate was won by Blackdown Bandits (Blackdown Financial Services), who nudged aside the Rolling Stones (Stone & Partners Architects), while the Wooden Spoon event was won by K Signs (last year’s cup winners), soundly beating Porter Dodson Solicitors.
The fancy dress prize was won by the Rolling Stones.
