A MAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck during a late-night altercation in Wellington, police confirmed today.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident which happened in Howard Road at around 4am on Saturday (October 13).
The suspect was released on bail, along with a 32-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of assault.
Another man, aged 44, has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been bailed and will appear at Taunton Magistrates' Court on November 14.
A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Police said: "Criminal damage was caused to a caravan when a window was smashed and a man was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with a stab wound to the neck.
"A woman also received a head injury sustained when the window was damaged."

THERE was a cordon and several police vehicles off Longforth Road in Wellington this morning.
Officers were at the scene at Howard Road green.
Various rumours about the cause of the police activity have been flying round town but no information is available from the poilce at present into the circumstances of the incident.
