WI: Pat Gaden opened the meeting on May 13, and after Ann Reynolds had read the minutes, the subject of the proposed Resolutions was discussed. It was agreed that Trull & Staplehay WI would support the Resolution to urge the EU to ban bottom trawling, which does much damage to the seabed.
Dillis Morgan asked whether members would be interested in starting a video library. Everyone agreed this would be a good idea and that a small charge should be made
The jumble sale at Trull Memorial Hall on May 3 raised about £400
Members were asked to look for suitable items for the the bric-a-brac stall at Trull "Party-in-the Park" on July 12.
Since there is no meeting in August, Marjorie Jensen kindly invited members to tea in her garden at Stoneleigh, Staplehay . on August 12 at 3pm.

Peter Lea, gave an interesting talk on the Yeo Valley farming and dairy processing business. Roger and Mary Mead started making yogurt in 1974. Today the business operates from six outlets, including Holt Farms , still run by Mary Mead, Ann Reynolds gave the vote of thanks
