OFFICERS in North Dorset have released a CCTV image of a suspect after a distraction theft in Shaftesbury.
The incident happened between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday May 30 at Subway fast food restaurant in Ivy Cross.
A man entered the store and purposely confused the cashier into giving him a sum of money that was significantly more than the change he was due.
Police Constable Alistair James, of North Dorset police, said: “I am now able to release a CCTV image of the suspect.
“I would like to hear from anyone who knows the man in the picture and ask that they contact me by calling 101.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting occurrence number 55150019088.
