THIS amazing CCTV video shows a shooting star hurtling through the skies above Somerset.
The footage was captured on January 2 by Wayne Guns, from the CCTV camera outside his house.
It took place at 9.40pm, and lit up the night skies.
It is not the only starry spectacle to delight stargazers in the county.
Earlier this week, Venus and Mars shone bright in the night sky, thanks to the Eart being the closest it's been to the sun for years.
