AN unattended tumble dryer caught fire while the owners of the property were out.
Firefighters from Somerton, Martock and Bridgwater were called to the incident in a pub in North Street, Langport, at 6.14pm yesterday (Friday).
By the time crews arrived on the scene the fire was already out and the premises had been evacuated.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Two firefighters in breathing apparatus were committed to the property and isolated the power to the appliance as well as ventilated the property.
"The firefighters removed the tumble dryer to the open air and left the scene safe."
