A MOTORIST won't be in a hurry next time she comes to Somerset after being clocked speeding five times in the county in just over ten weeks.

Asha Jackson, 47, of Farnell Court, Milton Keynes, was ordered to pay a total of £1,105 and given 15 penalty points when she appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Courts.

Most people are banned when they tot up 12 points, but the agency nurse avoided a driving ban as magistrartes heard it would result in her losing her job and lead to hardship for her family.

Jackson was first caught speeding in the county on November 19 last year, followed by another two incidents in October, and one each in December and January.

She was fined £200 for each offence and ordered to pay £85 towards costs and a £20 victim surcharge after admitting all five offences.
