SOMERSET is set for a beautiful, sunny day today, but with warnings in place for a high pollen count and UV radiation.

In their south west summary, Met Office said: "A largely dry and fine day with sunny spells, however there is a risk of an isolated shower in the far east. In the sunshine it will feel pleasantly warm with light winds."

The maximum temperature is set to reach around 20C, before falling to a minimum of 7C overnight.

The Met Office has issued a 'moderate' level warning for the pollen count today.

Their advice says: "Adults and children with lung problems, and adults with heart problems, who experience symptoms, should consider reducing strenuous physical activity, particularly outdoors. Enjoy your usual outdoor activities."

A UV radiation level of five is expected, with eight being the highest expected to be seen in UK and very rare.

The moderate warning has also come with advice to "take care during midday hours and do not spend too much time in the sun unprotected."

Tomorrow's forecast said: "Largely day with warm sunshine and light winds, apart from the odd shower. Turning cloudy in the far west later in the day with some rain possible after dark."

The temperature is set to peak at around 21C.
