THE START of the week is set to be a breeze - but not the easy kind.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind. The warning has been put in place for the South West from midnight until 11am tomorrow morning (Monday, September 11).
The warning reads: "A spell of very strong westerly winds is likely during Monday morning, probably peaking around or just before the busy travel period.
"Some delays to travel are likely, with some journeys taking longer than usual. Delays are likely for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
"Some short term loss of power is also possible.
"The worst of the winds should gradually ease later in the morning, although some strong gusts may persist into the afternoon.
"Strong westerly winds will give gusts of 45-50 mph quite widely inland. Gusts of 60 mph are expected along coasts exposed to the west, in particular coasts bordering the Bristol Channel.
"Normally winds of this strength would cause very few impacts. However, with trees still being in full leaf, they be more susceptible to damage with resulting debris possibly affecting roads and overhead power supply lines."
