TWO men intervened after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incidents in the precinct area near Poundland in Yeovil town centre.
A force spokesman said the victim was approached by a man in his late 20s and sexually assaulted at around 3.10am on Sunday, December 10.
He is described as being of medium build with short dark hair and stubble. He was wearing a black bomber-style jacket.
When a friend of the victim went to check on her, two other men approached and punched him before he made off up Middle Street.
One of these men is described as being about 6ft 2ins tall and also aged in his late 20s. He was wearing a black Puffa-style with the hood up and dark coloured jeans.
The other man was older, in his late 30s or early 40s, of small build with dark stubble. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket and a light or white coloured baseball cap.
