DRIVERS using the M5 through Somerset are facing 'severe' delays this afternoon.
Highways England says stop-start traffic on the stretch running northbound between junction 27 (Tiverton) and junction 20 (Clevedon) is adding around an hour and 40 minutes to journeys.
It is thought the extra traffic is due to people returning home after holidays taking advantage of the short, post-Easter week.

"Holiday traffic heading home - picks up in places," the authority said.
