A TRAMPOLINE park coming soon to Somerset is hosting a design competition.

Flip Out Somerset, which is set to open at Chelston Business Park near Wellington in July, wants young artists to design a character to be featured as graffiti at the new park.

The competition has two categories, one for children aged 11-16-years-old and the other is aimed at children aged four-10.

The characters should represent a villain ninja which will appear as graffiti on the walls as the enemies of the Flip Out Ninja.

Jeremy Appiah, general manager at Flip Out Somerset, said: “We would really like young people in the area to play a part in the opening of the new Flip Out trampoline park, which will be the first in Somerset.

"That is why we are giving youngsters the opportunity to have their character featured in the arena when we open our doors next month.

“There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs so I would urge any budding young street artists to get drawing.

"Young people can be very imaginative and we are really looking forward to seeing what ninja villains they will create to go up against the Flip Out Ninja.”

The competition will be judged by the new park's management team and the street artists behind the graffiti walls at the £1.2million area.

Judges will be looking for creativity and a strong villain character with super powers.

The characters need to be drawn on an A4 piece of paper and sent to Schools Competition, Flip Out, Chelston Business Park, Castle Road, Wellington, TA21 9JQ by June 30.

The new trampoline park will feature 75 inter-linked trampolines, two Olympic sized trampolines and a 20 metre tumble-track.

There will also be a ninja warrior course, battle beams, foam pits, a slam dunk and a dodgeball court.
