A VACANCY has become available on Wellington Town Council after one of the councillors has resigned for health reasons.
Cllr Charles Biscoe, Wellington South ward, sadly resigned his position on the council due to health concerns.
Notice of the position was given on Wellington Town Council's website.
Councillors discussed the matter at the town council meeting on Monday night (September 4), where they expressed thanks to Cllr Biscoe for his service on the council.
They also stated that they'd recommend to Taunton Deane Borough Council to hold the election, if contested, during the half-term holiday in October.
This would be to minimise disruption to the primary school that would be used as the polling station.
