BOTH ticket machines in a Taunton Deane car park are currently out-of-orders due to a problem with the power supply.
Two machines in North Street car park, Wellington, are currently displaying signs informing motorists they are not working.
Motorists using the car park are currently displaying notes in their cars about the machines being out of use.
The council has confirmed that the pay and display rules will not be enforced.
A spokesman from Taunton Deane Borough Council said: "There’s a problem with the power supply which is why the machines are out of order.
"The power company is working to restore the supply and until that is done the machines will remain out of order and the pay and display regime will not be enforced."
