THE Farthings Hotel in Hatch Beauchamp raised £23 in a raffle at the farmers’ market in the village and gave away free samples.

The winner received a meal for two at the hotel, which is holding a cheese and wine evening on November 8 at 7pm with 50% of the proceeds going to charity.

Seems outrageous that The Gazette should give this Hotel such publicity for raising £23 in a raffle. Well done Hotel, you really did push the boat out in raising £23
