ROAD closure signs diverting motorists from flooded routes around Taunton have gone missing.

The signs, which were placed on site by Somerset County Council contractors this week, have been reported missing in Bishop's Hull, North Curry and Ruishton.

The signs in North Curry and Bishop's Hull have not been seen since Wednesday, while the Ruishton sign went missing today (Friday).

A county council spokesman said: "Taking signs is inconsiderate and potentially dangerous and we would ask that any occurances of this nature are reported to us."

To report a missing sign, contact the council's highways department on 0845 345 9155.
