LAST year’s record-breaking Year 11 students went back to Heathfield Community School to receive their exam certificates and awards at the annual presentation evening.
Heathfield, already identified earlier this year as the highest performing school in the region over the past ten years, has also achieved its highest ever GCSE and BTEC results with 94% of students achieving five or more A* to C grades, 74% with English and maths, with 47 students achieving seven or more A/A* grades.
Head teacher Elliott Furneaux said: “This is the 11th year in a row that we’ve far exceeded our highest DFE targets, which is an extraordinary record of consistency by both our students and our outstanding team of staff, built on our sustained excellence in the three core subjects of English, maths and science.
“The school’s reputation has also been built on its sporting success, international school links, excellence in the arts and extraordinary range of extra-curricular activities.”
