GIFTED children keen to develop their musical talent have been given a helping hand.

Milverton Stores has donated £500 to the High Park Music Project after a number of youngsters from the village primary school joined the scheme.

The project provides clarinets, saxophones and tuition for primary school pupils and is funded through the collection and recycling of textiles.

Store owner Emma Jenkins has also given £150 to Milverton Mini-Day Centre.

She said: “It has become something of a Christmas tradition for the store to support the centre and I was invited to enjoy some festivities with the ladies who provided a delicious meal.”
